Smartways.com.au I have noted the recent reviews of Smartways logistics and I totally agree with the other complainaints. I work in the orthopaedics business and we have been using smartways on a regular basis. We have nothing but problems with this outfit, from the drivers to their office staff to their directors (Richard Affman, past) and Marcus Wyborn (present). Their actions have resulted in us losing a substantial amount of revenue and I really don't know why we use them at all. I have had dealings with their drivers in Melbourne and Adelaide and have found a particular driver in Adelaide, Adam (don't know his last name) very obnoxious and over-familiar.
He acts like a child when he botches our deliveries and refuses to accept any fault and gets quite aggressive when questioned on deliveries. I have seen the comments about Kon in Melbourne and of all the people in Smartways I have delt with, he would be one of the few I would be happy dealing with. We had one of their drivers Jason Palasty deliver to our hospital, he was caught in the act signing off a delivery himself. Once confronted he got really angry and exposed himself and said s.k on this to our sterilizing staff. We reported the incident to Richard Afman and Allan Bonifacio, both of them did their best to sweep the incident under the carpet. We reported the incident to our orthopedic supplier and was told Richard Afman pays a hefty commision to our national manager to keep on using Smartways and there is nothing we can do about it. I'd have to agree with all the other posters, this company is as shonky as it gets.
